Dr. Hankins, a native of Arkadelphia, has been in private
practice in Arkadelphia for 25 years. he received his
DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) from Baylor College of
Dentistry in Dallas, Texas in 1979. He received a BS degree
in Biology from Ouachita Baptist University in 1975.
Dr. Hankins is committed to continuing education and perfecting
his skills. He has completed advanced training at the
Dawson Center for
Advanced Dental Studies in St. Petersburg, Florida,
and the Pankey Institute
for Advanced Dental Education in Key Biscayne, Florida.
Both institutes are recognized internationally for their
commitment to excellence in dentistry and training in
advanced cosmetic and restorative techniques which include
correcting and stabilizing patients with TMJ dysfunction.
Dr. Hankins has studied under Dr. Walter Turbyfil, an
internationally recognized dentist in the field of removable
prostodontics, where he learned a functional impression
technique for dentures and partial dentures which enhances
stability and appearance for the denture patient.
In 1990 Dr. Hankins was recognized by the American Dental
Association for his volunteerism to the people of Brazil.
Dr. Hankins has volunteered his dental services in the
countries of Brazil, Guatemala, Honduras, and Dominican
Republic.
Dr. Hankins is a member of the American Dental Association,
the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Arkansas
State Dental Association, the Southwest Arkansas Dental
Society, and is on staff at Baptist Medical Center in
Arkadelphia.
Dr. Hankins and his wife, Beverly, have two children.
They are members of the First Baptist Church of Arkadelphia,
and they also volunteer with an international prison ministry,
Kairos International.
